We reserve the right, with or without notice, to cancel or reduce the quantity of any products or services provided to you that we believe, in our sole discretion, may violate our Terms and Conditions.
Re-Connect Bath and Body reserves the right to amend its Terms and Conditions anytime. If changes occur, we will notify you of them on the website. We suggest that you revisit the Terms and Conditions from time to time to review any changes.

1. Purchasing Goods
1.1. When purchasing from this website, you agree that your personal information is accurate and current. If your contact details change, inform us at (reconnectbathandbody@gmail.com) before placing further orders. You must also provide valid payment details that belong solely to you.
1.2. To order goods on our website, click the "Confirm Order" button at the end of the checkout process. You will find easy-to-follow instructions throughout the ordering process. We offer a variety of payment options for customers purchasing items online.
1.2.1. Square is a secure online payment method. Customers can log on to Square, use their account balance and registered accounts, or purchase items with an e-transfer. You are not required to have a Square account if you'd prefer to buy with a card via Square.
1.2.2. – Credit card payments via a secure gateway through e-Commerce and run by Square
1.3. Payment for wholesale customers is made through the website. A 50% deposit is required to confirm the order, with the remaining balance due before dispatch.
1.4. Once you place your order, we will send you an acknowledgment that includes your payment reference and the total amount of your order. We will retain legal ownership of the goods until you have made full payment and we have received that payment. Legal ownership of the goods will be returned to us immediately if we issue a refund for any costs.
1.5. Any unauthorized use of our Site (for example, the use of a coupon that is not genuine) may result in your order being refused with a full refund.
2. Pricing and description of goods
2.1. Prices listed on the website are as stated, with Goods and Services Tax (G.S.T.) applied at checkout. Delivery costs vary depending on the order size and are calculated through Canada Post. While we aim for accurate product details and pricing, this information may only sometimes be up to date at the time of your order. We reserve the right to adjust prices in the event of errors or changes from our suppliers, and customers will be notified of any such adjustments.
2.2. We strive to offer accurate descriptions of our products on our website. However, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that product descriptions, colors, information, or any other content on the website are accurate, complete, reliable, current, or free of errors.
3. While we strive to describe our products on the website accurately, the photographs are general representations. All items are handmade in small batches, which means there may be slight variations in colour, pattern, scent, and texture between individual soaps and batches. These variations will not affect the quality of the products. The swirl patterns inside and on top of the soaps may differ within a single batch due to the swirling process's nature and the soap batter's behaviour during pouring. Re-Connect Bath and Body reserves the right to change designs at any time.
4. Care of soap and precautions
4.1. Once purchased, soaps should be stored in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight until use. After each use, the soap should be placed on a free-draining soap dish clear of standing water to allow it to dry out. Please do this to prevent the soap from becoming very soft.
4.2. Natural and mineral colours are used. Although highly unlikely, these may stain pale fabrics.
4.3. The soap is intended for external use only. If any irritation occurs, please discontinue use immediately. We would appreciate your feedback if this happens.
4.4. As with all new products, checking on a small skin area before primary use is advisable. Some essential oils contain potential allergens that may cause adverse reactions in some individuals. These are clearly stated on the website, and the product is labelled under Canadian Cosmetics Regulations (CRC, c. 869). Suppose a customer has a known sensitivity to an ingredient or allergen. In that case, they must check the product's ingredients list before purchase.
5. Nut allergies:
5.1. All our crafted products contain at least one 'nut' oil or butter: they all contain shea butter (Bu-tyrospermum parkii), and some include additional nut oils such as sweet almond (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis) oil and coconut (Caprylic/capric triglyceride) oil. Most other products also have one or more nut oils.
6. Packaging
6.1. Re-Connect Bath and Body will try to use recycled boxes, envelopes, and packaging. They will aim to keep the packaging to a minimum in terms of cost to customers and the amount of packaging used. Plastic packaging is not used as far as possible. We encourage our customers to reuse or recycle their packaging to benefit the environment.
7. Delivery
7.1. We promise to ship our best-quality products to you safely, securely, and reliably and to address any concerns you may have regarding your order promptly.
7.2. Shipment of stock items will generally be made within 3-7 working days from clearance of payment. We will endeavour to deliver goods within the specified time. Still, goods are subject to availability, and delivery delays are sometimes outside our control. If we are temporarily out of stock, we will notify you of this position, and you should allow up to 21 days for the dispatch of the goods. For delays of more than 21 days, you will have the right to cancel the order, and we will refund any money paid by you for the goods. Any dates we specify for the delivery of the goods are approximate only. We shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges, or expenses caused by any delay in the delivery of the goods. Re-Connect Bath and Body (the company) and will obtain proof of dispatch.
7.3. We seek to reuse packaging material, including the outer container, as much as possible to help reduce our environmental impact.
7.4. Delivery prices quoted are for most Canadian addresses. For international delivery Re-Connect Bath and Body may incur additional charges (email us for a quotation) and may also experience delivery delays.
7.5. Suppose such an uncollected delivery is subsequently returned to Re-Connect Bath and Body. In that case, we will contact the purchaser to request a preferable action. Suppose the parcel and contents are returned undamaged (owing to hygiene reasons, we must ensure that the contents have not been compromised). In that case, we may offer the purchaser a full refund with the order being cancelled, or we may offer that the contents be sent to the purchaser's address (the purchaser to pay for additional postage); please check clause 9 for our terms regarding refunds. We do not attempt re-delivery where an order with a valid address has been returned to us due to non-collection.
7.6. The customer may request that the parcel be left in a nominated safe place instead of being signed for; in this case, we will first email the customer to check the request. If approved, the order will be sent via standard delivery. However, it will be the customer's responsibility, not Re-Connect Bath and Body. Should the order go missing or suffer damage once left by the mail carrier/courier, no refund or replacement of goods will be offered in such a situation.
7.7. The purchaser must supply the recipient's correct address (including full postcode). Should the order fail to be delivered to the intended recipient because the address provided by the purchaser needs to be corrected, Re-Connect Bath and Body will not be held responsible and will not be able to issue a refund.
7.8. Should second-class delivery be required, please contact us to arrange costs.
7.9. Don't hesitate to contact us for orders above 10kg packaged weight to obtain a postage quote.
8. General information re: delivery
8.1. Re-Connect Bath and Body does not accept any liability whatsoever for delayed delivery caused by any third party. As soon as you have received the goods, you will assume all risks in the goods. Upon delivery of the goods to you, we will also provide you with sufficient details to enable you to:
8.1.1. exercise your right of cancellation and
8.1.2. Address any intended cancellations or complaints to the correct place of business.
8.2. If you have yet to receive the entire order, as detailed in the order confirmation email sent when an order is received, feel free to contact Re-Connect Bath and Body within three days of receipt of the goods.
8.3. If you have a rush order, please let us know, and we will make extra effort to get it out sooner.
8.4. Re-Connect Bath and Body accepts no liability for any loss resulting from the customer's failure to comply with our carrier's delivery. The customer is responsible for checking that delivery address details are entered correctly when placing the order. Failure to deliver due to an incorrect address being supplied is not the responsibility of Re-Connect Bath and Body; a replacement/refund will not be issued if the fault lies with the customer.
9. Returns and Cancellations
9.1. Unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled your order under the cancellation conditions as stated below, our acceptance of your order and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place when we have dispatched the goods ordered by you.
9.2. We may not accept your order if an item you have ordered is out of stock, we cannot obtain authorization for your payment or if we identify a product or pricing error. We reserve the right to reject any offer to purchase by you at any time.
9.3. If we cannot fulfil your order following our acknowledgement, we will contact you by email or telephone.
9.4. Suppose you are unsatisfied and wish to return the goods ordered. In that case, you must notify us within 14 calendar days of receiving your order. Due to hygiene issues regarding cosmetic products that have left our care, we will refund only UNUSED products that have their tamper seals unbroken (i.e. jars and the tubs of bath salts) and which remain in a fully resalable condition (packaging and product). Products sold in 'basic' packaging (glassine bag either with or without organza bag), soaps in unsealed gift boxes and lip balms cannot be returned for a refund since the product is not sold in a tamper-proof sealed package.
9.5. We must be notified of incorrect or damaged orders within three days of receipt. If you cancel an order after dispatch, this will incur a 10% surcharge. Where the reason for return is
not due to an error made by Re-Connect Bath and Body, all return costs incurred will be the customer's responsibility. A refund for items will be issued once the goods are returned in an UNUSED (and, where applicable, unopened) and fully resalable condition.
10. Complaints and Customer Service
10.1.The purchaser should inform Re-Connect Bath and Body ( Re-Connect Bath and Body (the soap company)immediately of any problems either by emailing reconnectbathandbody@gmail.com or by phoning 250-532-1210
10.2. Customer satisfaction is essential to us, and as such, we will aim to resolve your complaint within five working days; in most instances, we will aim to resolve your complaint within 48 hours.
10.3.The customer is welcome to contact us on any issue relating to their order or for general enquiries on the above email.
10.4. The purchaser should immediately inform Re-Connect Bath and Body of any problems by emailing reconnectbathandbody@gmail.com or phoning 250-532-1210.
11. Privacy:
11.1. You are responsible for all actions concerning your account when using the website. If you forget your password, we will reset it upon your request and send it to your registered email address.
11.2. Re-Connect Bath and Body (the company) collects the information provided by the customer when ordering and uses this information lawfully under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act S.C. 2000, c. 5.
11.3. This information is used to process the customer's order and provide the highest customer service possible. Customer data is encrypted via a secure payment site.
11.4. Re-Connect Bath and Body will not sell or pass on customer details to any third party. If you order from us, we may contact you about your order and occasionally email or write to you with information about our products and special offers. Please let us know if you prefer to refrain from receiving promotional material.
12. Limitation of Liability:
12.1. We will use reasonable endeavours to fulfill our obligations promptly. Still, we will not be liable to the customer for any loss, costs or expenses arising directly or indirectly from delays. We would not be deemed in breach of this Agreement because of any delay in performing or any failure to perform any obligations concerning this Agreement if the delay or failure was due to any cause beyond our reasonable control.
12.2. We will notify you in writing if we are prevented from fulfilling our obligations. Suppose we are still prevented 21 calendar days from the date of such notice. In that case, either party may give information cancelling the Agreement. Suppose the Agreement is balanced in this way. In that case, we accept no liability to compensate you for any loss or damage caused by failure to perform.
12.3. All handmade Re-connect Bath and Body products may vary in colours, scent, design and appearance. Re-connect Bath and Body reserves the right to change or adjust the existing design.
12.4. Except for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, we will not be liable to the buyer for any loss of profit, any indirect special or consequential loss, damage, costs, expenses or other claims arising out of or in connection with the supply of goods other than as a result of a breach of an obligation arising under the International Sale of Goods Contracts Convention Act (S.C. 1991, c. 13).
12.5. We attempt to be as accurate as possible when describing our products on the Site; however, to the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not warrant that the product descriptions, colours, information or other content available on the Site are accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free. The weight of items stated on the website considers the weight of their packaging, which aids in calculating postage. Please bear in mind that the weight of soap will change as water is lost during the ongoing cure process.
12.6. As with all new products, it is advisable to check a small skin area before primary use. Some essential oils used contain potential allergens. Following the current Guide to the Consumer Packaging and Labelling Act and Regulations, those substances are clearly stated on the reverse of the labelling. In some individuals, those substances can cause adverse reactions.
12.7. We do not accept responsibility for the misuse of our products. The customer must use the products with discretion and check with a professional if in doubt.
12.7.1. All products are checked carefully before dispatch to the customer. We cannot be held responsible for the deterioration of the products due to the customer's incorrect storage conditions, e.g., exposure to direct sunlight, heat, etc. The customer should ensure the products are stored in cool and dry conditions before use. During use, soap should be set to drain freely in a slotted soap dish and not be allowed to sit in water. Balms and kinds of butter may liquefy if kept too warm. Bath bombs and creamers will deteriorate in warm, damp or humid conditions. Salts will attract water if left open to the air. Soaps generally have a B.B.E. date of 18 months post-manufacture: this is a minimum date to ensure the best condition of soap before use; use beyond this date does not imply deterioration at all, and soap kept in optimum conditions may last for many years. Most non-soap products have a B.B.E. date of at least six months from manufacture; most products will be perfectly usable for longer. However, their quality may deteriorate if kept beyond this time or stored in unsuitable conditions.
13. Reviews
13.1. All opinions expressed in our reviews of soaps or any products on this website or our affiliated social media sites are our own independent and impartial views. As such, our perspectives may differ from those of others, including the reviewers themselves. We do not receive payment or incentives to promote any product or business. Client reviews are conducted voluntarily and honestly. If we accept a review request, we commit to providing an honest opinion based on our experiences. We only endorse products that we believe are worthy of such support. Therefore, we reserve the right to decide not to review a product or, if we choose to review it, to opt not to publish that review.
14. Wholesale, bespoke and special orders
14.1. Wholesale and retail clients may purchase soap and other products at a standard wholesale rate. This offers a minimum order and is open only to trade clients, who will then retail the soaps through their establishments.
14.2. All wholesale orders will require a 50% deposit on confirmation of the order, the balance payable before dispatch. The warranty is non-refundable for soaps that are:
14.2.1. part of the current range but which then need to be made to fulfil the amount required
14.2.2. soaps that require wrapping or boxes
14.3. Should Re-Connect Bath and Body cancel the order, the client will receive the full deposit; if the client subsequently cancels the order after the soaps have been made/wrapped/packaged, the deposit will not be refundable.
15. Samples
It is not our policy to supply goods on approval, nor can we provide free samples of our soaps on request. The sending of free samples is at our discretion.
16. Website
All content on the website is the property of Re-Connect Bath and Body and is protected by Canadian and international copyright laws. Nothing may be reproduced in whole or part by electronic means or in print without Re-Connect Bath and Body (the soap company)’s prior written permission. We are not responsible for the content of any off-website pages or any other websites linked to or from the website.
17. Jurisdiction and Contact details
Jurisdiction: These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed following relevant Canadian law, and the appropriate courts of Canada will have exclusive jurisdiction over the Agreement.
None of the above terms affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
